The Mobile First Release!

Sorry for the skipped update post two weeks ago, but we have been working very hard on preparing for today's massive release.

To make it up to you, we are back with a BIG one!

In this release:
- Responsive sign view
- Signing deadline increase
- Expanding CDN usage (even faster sign view)

- BIG bang for responsive design!

As you already know (or, at least, your customers) signing a document using Scrive is a fantastic experience. But (there is always a but), our mobile experience hasn't been as amazing as the desktop experience. Now this is about to change!

Starting tomorrow, we are introducing our new responsive sign view.

So what does this mean?

A site that is responsive is one that responds well to being viewed on a variety of devices and screen sizes. Whether it's a desktop, tablet, or phone, it is rendered in such a way that the components of the page respond to a device’s display size by scaling and rearranging themselves to make the page easy to use and navigate.

Responsive web design is essential as the amount of mobile traffic now accounts for more than half of the total internet traffic.

Instead of explaining further with words, let´s look at some before and after.

Before

The sign view didn't adapt when changing the screen size.

Now

Adapts when you change the size of the screen.

We have worked with the concept that no matter the screen size you are visiting the sign view from (desktop, tablet, phablet or mobile phone), you will always see all of the elements that you see on the desktop view. This means that we are not removing anything to fit a small screen, just scaling the components so that it's easy to use and looks as beautiful as it should.

- Increase signing deadline to 365 days

An Idea from a customer to increase the signing deadline for a document from 90 days. We went ahead and expanded it to 365 days.
So if you have a document that can take a long time to get signed, you now have up to a year to get that signature.

- Expanding CDN usage (even faster sign view)

In this release we are also expanding the use of CDN in the sign view. This means that the sign view will load even faster since we will cache more static content.

If you don't already have an account, sign up for a free one and test the new sign view today!
